4,000 New Assistant Sub-Inspectors to Join Police Ahead of Election

Police Chief Baharul Alam announced that 4,000 new members will be appointed to the position of Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) before the upcoming elections.

Police Chief Baharul Alam announced that 4,000 new members will be appointed to the position of Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) before the upcoming elections. Speaking to reporters after a meeting at the Secretariat on Wednesday, he stated that recruitment and training processes are underway to ensure the police force is fully prepared.

Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Md. Mokhlesur Rahman, added that civil service postings are never done through lotteries and will not be in the future. He also emphasized that any administrative personnel showing partiality during elections will face administrative action.

“Until now, there has been no indication of anyone acting in favor of any party. If we find such cases, we will withdraw them and take administrative measures under the existing law,” he said.
