EC Orders 23 Political Parties to Submit Election Expenditure Reports by June 13

The Election Commission has given 23 political parties, including BNP, until June 13 to submit expenditure reports for the 13th parliamentary election after failing to meet the initial deadline.

Bangladesh Election Commission has set June 13 as the deadline for 23 political parties, including Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), to submit their expenditure reports for the 13th parliamentary election.

 

Senior EC Secretary Akhtar Ahmed disclosed the information on Tuesday, May 19.

He said letters had been sent to the political parties that had yet to submit their election expenditure statements, giving them until June 13 to comply.

The parties that received the notices are the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Bangladesh Biplobi Workers Party, Jatiya Ganatantrik Party (Jagpa), Bangladesh Muslim League (BML), Gantantri Party, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD), Nationalist Democratic Movement (NDM), Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP), Gonoforum, Amar Bangladesh Party (AB Party), Gono Odhikar Parishad (GOP), Nagorik Oikya, Ganosamhati Andolon, Ganofront, Bangladesh Minority Janata Party (BMJP), Bangladesh Kallyan Party, Bangladesh Republican Party (BRP), Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP), Islami Oikya Jote, Bangladesh Islami Front, Amjanatar Dal, Bangladesh Samadhikar Party (BEP), and Bangladesh Nezame Islam Party.
