Draft List of Polling Centers to Be Published in September

The Election Commission (EC) will publish the draft list of polling centers for the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election on 10 September.

According to the EC, the last date for submitting claims or objections regarding the draft list is 25 September. All claims and objections will be resolved by 12 October, and the final list of polling centers will be published on 20 October.

Officials said that on 20 August (Wednesday), EC Deputy Secretary Md Mahbub Alam Shah signed a letter regarding the release of the draft list. The letter stated that the Polling Center Setup and Management Guidelines 2025 had already been approved by the Commission and published in the Bangladesh Gazette on 26 June.

As per the Representation of the People Order, 1972, polling center lists must be prepared and finalized at least 25 days before the election and published in the Gazette. To comply, the EC will release the draft list, collect and review claims or objections, and finalize polling centers in line with the approved guidelines.

The EC also noted that regional election officers have been instructed to send numerical data (including soft copies) on both draft and final polling centers to the Election Assistance-1 branch within the given deadlines.
