New Deputy Commissioners Appointed in Four Districts

The government has appointed new deputy commissioners (DCs) in four districts —  Chittagong, Chapainawabganj, Madaripur, and Feni.

A notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday (October 15) announced the new appointments.

According to the notification, Feni’s Deputy Commissioner Saiful Islam has been appointed as the Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Chittagong. Meanwhile, Ms. Monira Haque, Deputy Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division, has been made the new Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Feni.

Additionally, Md. Solaiman, Deputy Secretary of the Power Division, has been appointed as the Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Chapainawabganj, and Ms. Afsana Bilkis, Deputy Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division, has been made the Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Madaripur.

The notification also mentioned that the earlier order issued on September 21, 2025, transferring Md. Abdul Awal, Deputy Commissioner of Naogaon, to Chattogram as Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate, has been cancelled.

The order, issued in the public interest, takes immediate effect.
