CUCSU to Host Two-Day International Education Expo

Chittagong University Central Students’ Union (CUCSU) and Edumax Consultancy are set to organize a two-day “International Education Expo 2026” to provide students with reliable information on higher education abroad, international scholarships and global career prospects.

​CUCSU Vice President Ibrahim Hossain Roni disclosed the details during a press conference held at the CUCSU building on the university campus at 11:30 am on Sunday.

​The education expo will take place at the university’s Intellectuals Monument area (Buddhijibii Chattar) on August 11 and 12, running from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm daily.

The event will offer students direct interaction and consultation opportunities with representatives from top global universities along with experienced education and career advisors. A total of 14 dedicated booths will be set up by consultancy agencies to guide participants according to scholarship availability across various countries.

​Organizers informed that attendees will receive one-on-one counseling to explore preferred scholarship options. The counseling sessions will cover essential aspects of studying abroad, including application procedures, visa processing, university and subject selection, profile assessment, fund security and general prep strategies. Additionally, the event features an opportunity for over 300 students to access free IELTS programs.

​As part of the event, a special seminar titled “International Education Seminar” will be held on the second day (August 12) from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Faculty of Social Sciences Auditorium. Dr. Md. Ashikur Rahman, current Regional Manager (Asia) for Erasmus and former President of the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship Focal Point Network, will attend as the invited guest speaker.

​The seminar will focus on higher education opportunities abroad, international scholarships with an emphasis on the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship, application strategies, required preparation and profile development techniques for students. Attractive gifts will also be distributed among the participating students.

​CUCSU General Secretary Sayeed Bin Habib, Office Secretary Abdullah Al Noman, Literature, Culture and Publication Secretary Hares Matabbar, Career Development and International Secretary Mehedi Hasan Sohan, and Executive Members Adnan Sharif and Salman Farsi Sakib were present at the press conference.
